To wrap up my blog I will be going over how the NFL season ended. The 2021 NFL season was a great season to experience it had so much excitement going on this season. There was a huge surprise this year that was the Cincinnati Bengals who surprised everyone by making the Superbowl. The Bengals were a horrible team last year and drafted in the top 5 in last years draft nobody excepted them to be a few plays away from a super bowl. The Bengals are a team that should be a contender in the NFL for years to come with a very young group of great players. I think that the upcoming 2022 NFL season will be just as good as this seasons with lots of good players changing teams and there looks to be a lot of teams that will compete this year. stay up to date with my blog page to keep up to date with the coming season.

My initial feelings of this blog post was pretty good because it was a topic that I know so much about and love talking about. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about writing a blog about something but writing about this topic made it a very enjoyable experience for me. I learned how it is actually pretty easy to blog about something you are into and you can fill up a page very quickly when you just get to work and write freely. The only thing that I did not like about this blog is that it at times felt forced to write about it and I felt I had to meet a certain mark with my blog but other than that I really enjoyed blogging.

I think that I would be very open to keep writing about the NFL in the future because I enjoyed doing this blog. Even before this blog project I have thought before how that it would be a pretty cool thing to write about the NFL and saw NFL writing as a good job. If I were to continue writing I think I may change the style and focus on a specific team or just do current news as it happens and not do it like a recap style. I would like to thank the readers of this blog and being here for me on my writing journey I really enjoyed it.

Now that the 2021 NFL regular season has come to an end after a fantastic season so far its time to talk about the playoffs. There is a new setup in the playoffs that I personally do not like and that is that only one team gets a bye week and that there is two extra teams. There used to be six team in each conference and the top two teams got a first round bye now there is seven and one gets a bye. I think that it is not needed to add that extra team because they are playing the second best team in the conference and are probably not going to beat them. I think that it was perfectly set up the way that it originally was.

My prediction for the playoffs is that we will see some new teams in the Superbowl than what we saw last year. The buccaneers who won it last year are limping to the finish line after suffering major injuries to there team and are very short handed now. I do not think that they will be able to go into green bay with the guys they have at the moment and beat the packers. The NFC also has a loaded playoffs with lots of teams that could beat anyone in the conference there is no clear front runner. The Chiefs started out slow to the season but have been picking it up recently in the last half of the season but they just had a bad loss to the Bengals that is a little alarming. The defense allowed rookie jameere chase to have almost 300 receiving yards against them which is unacceptable for any team. I think that if the Titans match up with them in the playoffs with a healthy Derick Henry they would lose to them because of how they would match defensive. The chiefs fate will depend on how there defense can play if they are able to get it back together to how they were playing in the middle of the season they can make it back to the Superbowl.

The end of the NFL regular season is just about a month away from ending and the playoff picture is starting to take shape and we are starting to see favorites. In the NFC the packers, cardinals, rams ,and buccaneers are seeming to be the favorites to win that conference. The Cardinals are currently in the lead for the number one seed and first round bye but I believe that the packers will take them over because they have already beat them once this year and they are the closest behind them at the moment. Another reason I do not think they will hold on to there lead is they have a hard schedule coming up. The packers remaining schedule is mostly against the terrible NFC north and the only team with a winning record coming up is the ravens who have played poor recently.

In the AFC its not as clear cut as the NFC due to the fact that all top four teams are currently locked in at the same record. We will not be be able to see that side of the league take shape until later in the year and they should shift around. The AFC has been strange this year because teams like the chiefs and ravens have not played up to there usual standards and other teams have passed them up. The New England Patriots even after starting the season with two wins and four losses have been the hottest team in football still, even after many did not think they could keep it up. The Patriots were a every year favorite to win the conference for the last twenty years but that changed last year after they had a down year due to Tom Brady’s departure. I think that the Chiefs will figure there problems out and get back to the Superbowl but it will be interesting to see.

During this season there have been a lot of surprising things some have been surprising in a good way and some have been surprising in a bad way. The new England patriots have definitely surprised some people by the way they have played recently. The team started off with two wins and four losses they have since improved that record by winning the next five in a row. I think that this just shows how incredible of a football coach that Bill Belicheck is because one thing about this team is that it has no true superstar players. The patriots have a lot of great players but on previous teams they have been more role players. Mac Jones the rookie from the university of Alabama has looked great this year and he may be the new face of this team.

The Kansas city chiefs have surprised a lot of people this season but for different reasons that the patriots have the chiefs have surprised people because they have been terrible. The team that has gone to back to back super bowls and was the favorite the be there again this year has looked very different from what we are used to seeing. The defense is one of the worst in the league has has had the most points allowed by a wide margin. This is nothing new to the chiefs though in previous years they have never had a great defense but this years is by far the worst. What the chiefs have not been used to having is a offense that lacks the ability to score and hold on to the ball. The chiefs on paper should still be a top five offense in football but for some reason they have been very lackluster and just very lifeless. They lead the league in turnovers and that is very uncharacteristic of them

Football is a very physical contact sport and injuries are a big part of football but this season there have been a very large amount compared to past years. The running back position has been hit the hardest it seems like so far this season. The position usually sees more injures than other skill positions due to the fact that they get his almost every play and other positions like wide receiver do not. The injures that running backs have been suffering this season have been a lot of non contact injuries like ACL and MCL sprains and tears.

These are not uncommon injuries but they have occurred a lot this season and some believe that it is due to the fact that a lot of fields in the league now are all artificial turf and not grass. I agree with them because the studies that are out show the numbers of tendon injuries go up a lot of artificial fields compared to grass. It has been proven that turf fields put a lot of pressure on your knee when you are running on it. The injures still defiantly happen on grass it just seems to be a better option for the way football is played to keep it on grass fields. The reason teams are switching from grass to turf is because its a lot cheaper to have because you do not have to cut it and water it like real grass to have it game ready. Another problem that the league is having is that the teams that do have turf fields are not doing the very few things they have to do to keep the fields playable and there have been mass injuries during a game. This year the Baltimore ravens suffer three ACL tears in a single game and this was due to terrible field conditions.

So far in this first half of the 2021 NFL season there has been so much excitement for many teams and players and its been one of the best in a while. The Arizona cardinals have been a team that has surprised pretty much everyone around the league and maybe even themselves. They were projected to be a team that would be a good one this year but what was not known is that they would be the lone team unbeaten.

There are lots of teams that have done a lot of good things this year besides just the cardinals. The Green bay Packers came off of an embarrassing loss to the Saints in which the team who was knocking on the door of the super bowl last year was a far cry from. The team has since bounced back from that loss and has now won 5 straight games in a row. They will be soon meeting up with the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night football next Thursday which should be a fantastic game.

There are 2 teams in particular who looked to be off to a great season but have now fallen to losing records. The Carolina Panthers and Denver broncos both started this season off to undefeated starts through 4 games. They have now both lost every game after that and it seems they both have fallen back to the low expectations that they had for them at the start of the year. I was personally a little bit shocked that they both had started of to such hot starts this year.

The NFL season has not been underway for very long but you can already see things stat to take shape around the league and how it will unfold this season. One of the teams so far that has really stood out to me is the Arizona Cardinals. The cardinals have played very well this season lead by the fantastic quarterback play of the young kyler Murray. The cardinals did not play great last year and missed the playoffs but so far it looks like things have changed. With a defense that is much improved and a high powered offense they will for sure contend in the NFC west this year.

You have now been informed about a team that has been great this year now its time for a team that has been terrible. The New York jets lead by BYU rookie Zach Wilson have lost back to back outings were they have been horrendous. Zach willson has struggled to keep the ball out of the opponents hands and leads the whole league at the moment. The Jets this off-season had gotten rid of former first round pick Sam Darnaold and they were hoping Zach would play better than he did but that does not seem to be the case now. All of the blame cant fall on zach and in my opinion not much should because he is playing behind the worst line in football and does not have great receivers to throw too. The jets are going to be in for another long season if there are no changes made soon.

The new NFL season is coming up very soon the first game will be the Buccaneers vs the cowboys Thursday night. The Tampa bay buccaneers will be coming off a Superbowl win last season and unveiling a championship banner. I believe that they will be a very good team this year and will beat the Cowboys to start the year. The buccaneers have signed just about every key player that was on the team a part of last year’s succes. Record wise I think that they will be a far better team than last year because they should start out a lot better than they did a season ago. last year’s team took a few weeks to really play well as a team and this hurt their record but they got very hot at the end of the year and made the playoffs as a wildcard team.

Now as for the cowboys they are coming off a very disappointing season last year. The cowboys have a roster who should be a playoff team but fell very short of that last year. The main issues for this result were poor quarter-back play after starter Dak Prescot had a very serious leg injury to end his season early. Another problem they had was one of the worst offensive lines in football due to injures. A problem along with the poor offensive line play was a very disappointing season for former first-round pick Ezekiel Elliot who had the worst year of his career. The whole 2020 season as a whole was extremely disappointing for the cowboys and looks to be better this year.
